About Offworld Industries:
Offworld Industries Ltd. (OWI) is the independent studio behind the successful military first-person shooter game, “Squad”. OWI was formed in 2014 by more than 15 developers who had worked together on the well known Project Reality mod for Battlefield 2. The founding purpose of the team was to bring a standalone successor of this acclaimed mod to market and build a game development studio and a livelihood from that foundation.
Fast forward to 2023, OWI has over 130 employees and is rapidly growing. We have been expanding the studio into serving as a publisher supporting mods and have just released our new title into early access, “Starship Troopers: Extermination”, a 16-player PvE first-person shooter based on the 1997 cult-classic film.

We are looking for a talented Senior Systems Administrator for our current and upcoming Unreal Engine based multiplayer games. Job Duties:
Technical Duties:
- Provide support to end-users, deploying computer hardware, networking software, operating system software, and software applications
- Update and assist on auditing hardware and software asset management
- Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks using platform-based or 3rd-party solutions
- Manage Active Directory, Domain Controller, Group Policy, File Server, Application Servers, DNS Server, DHCP Server, and Intune
- Manage cloud, open-source and local file servers and storage systems
- Manage and maintain Hardware and software FW Infrastructure on scale
- Assist on establishing Microsoft 365 admin center with Hybrid Infrastructure, Azure Active Directory, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
- Perform in depth troubleshooting of server hardware, software, carrier related issues as well as analyze and evaluate network issues
- Manage Backup and Disaster Recovery systems using Veeam Backup
- Perform shell scripting or other basic scripting tasks to automate processes
- Perform security analysis, policy application and security monitoring on all systems
- Perform physical maintenance of systems as required
- Ensure the smooth functioning of clustered and standalone virtualized environments
Other Duties:
- Offer problem-solving services to all company staff and stakeholders
- Supervise, mentor and share experience and industry knowledge with IT team
- Support studio departments and staff with project technical challenges
- Create and apply change requests, incidents, and knowledge base articles within IT team and company confluence spaces
- Participate in Agile – Jira transformation processes by creating backlogs, roadmap, and sprints
- Organize and collaborate in IT system & network management through IT Projects & Helpdesk ticketing system
- Design, installation, configuration, support and maintenance of IT infrastructure including server systems, network devices, and storage systems mission-critical and high-available systems and services
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in IT Management, with a proven track record in strategic planning, implementation, and system management
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server, On-Premise (2016-2019-2022), Microsoft Exchange Server, and Office 365, CentOS, Ubuntu and other main Linux distributions
- Extensive knowledge of IT Security technologies, firewall and endpoint protection solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Unifi, Hyper-V, Veeam Backup, Atlassian products, Jira, Confluence, MS Sharepoint, MS Teams, Virtualizations, DHCP, DNS,NAS, SAN Switching, MSSQL, MySQL
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team and ensure efficient IT operations
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
This is a 6-month contract position. Please note this role requires on-site presence due to on-premise re-structuring projects.
